Lords in the Landscape: Insights from the Goxhill Leiger Book

The Goxhill Leiger Book is an overlooked collection of charters and other documents relating to the east coast of Lincolnshire in the 12th to the 14th centuries. This lecture will look at the vibrant wealth of Lincolnshire during that period, when this part of the county was a centre of highly successful commercial activity.

Speaker: Philippa Hoskin from the University of Cambridge. She is the Director of the Parker Library, Corpus Christi College and a member of the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge. Philippa is also the General Editor of the Lincoln Record Society, General Editor of the British Academy’s English Episcopal Acta series and Chair of the Canterbury and York Society.
