The Spalding Gentlemen’s Society welcomes enquiries from anyone wishing to make use of its library, archival and museum collections for academic or personal research.
Due to restrictions on space, we are only able to accommodate non-member researchers by appointment. Research visits can be arranged for most Mondays from 9am to 12.30pm (9am to 4pm in summer and school holidays). All other visits must depend on the availability of our volunteer library and curatorial staff.
Researchers should take a few moments to read the documents below and to consult the relevant pages of this website
Research Inquiries and Services
Library staff and volunteers are happy to provide information on the Society’s holdings. If your query involves more in-depth research we can sometimes offer the research services of a volunteer with relevant experience and expertise. In such cases, we request that you consider making a donation to support our work to preserve and conserve the library and archive collections for future generations.
Before visiting, it is advised that researchers take a few moments to read the documents on use of the collection, guidelines for handling items and any other documents which apply to your usage.
