We are sorry to announce that the speaker previously arranged for January 13th is unable to present his lecture. We are most grateful to Paddy Lambert who will step in a very short notice to give a talk on an archaeological excavation near to Corby.
For the last three years excavations have been done at Priors Hall near Corby. The site started as a Villa with an associated Roman Temple or Mausoleum and later was used to manufacture tiles and other building materials. Recent excavations have revealed much more, including a very well preserved stretch of Roman road. The project was awarded the status of rescue project of the year in 2022. The picture shows the excavation team in a very large lime kiln.
