‘The internet and trans-national research in military history’
In a change to our scheduled lecture we welcome the following speaker
Dr Brynley Hammond
Principle Curator, Collections at the Imperial War Museum,
Fellow of the Royal Historical Society
Dr Hammond’s talk will show how developments in internet based research has revived his interest in the Great War. He will explain the roll of social media in developing an important friendship and about a remarkable Australian lady he never met.
Practical advise on research is mixed with stories of writers, teachers and interpreters, Winston Churchill’s artist friend, courage and surrealism.
The Lecture will take place at 7.30pm at Spalding Methodist Church, Broad Street [opposite the Museum]
The admission fee is £5 per person, payable on the door.
