Title of Lecture: Dictators Despots and Tyrants in the Contemporary World

Brief Description of Lecture: ”The world faces a global alignment of dictators, thugs, and aggressors, from Tehran to Moscow to Beijing to Palm Beach” writes David Frum, former White House speechwriter to President George W. Bush. Over the past 40 years or so unscrupulous politicians have relied on military forces, secret police, spies, informants and torturers to position themselves as Supreme Leader. Jeremy Hunter uncovers the Cult of Personality in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Doors open at 7pm at Broad Street Methodist Church, Spalding. Lecture starts 7.30pm. Entry £5, full time students free.
